How to measure yourself
Measure from the base of your neck to the base of your thumb for an untucked shirt. For a tucked shirt, measure to the end of the thumb.
Measure your chest at the widest point, usually around the nipples. Don’t puff out your chest. Ensure there is one finger between your chest and the measuring tape.
Measure the shoulder from shoulder seam to shoulder seam, following the natural curvature of your back, without adjusting your posture.
Measure your stomach at the belly button, without sucking it in. Ensure there is one finger between your stomach.
Measure your arm from the shoulder seam to the wrist (start of the hand). For a shorter look that will hide your shirt cuffs when a jacket is worn, the sleeve length is subtracted by 1 inch.
Measure your back from the point at which your arm and back meet to the other side. Ensure you stand as you do normally.
Measure your wrist at the wrist bone.
Lift up your collar and measure around your neck. There should be two fingers in between the tape measure and neck to ensure comfort and fit that is not too tight and not too loose. If you’re not wearing a collared shirt, measure around the adam’s apple.
